Khash Campus

In 2010, the Faculty of Industry and Mining, in Khash, was proposed by the Board of Trustees. Upon approval by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Khash campus has begun its activity. Khash is located about 185 km to the South from Zahedan, and is famous for having one of the wonders of the country – the semi-active Mountain Taftan Volcano. The snowy Taftan and its mountain range accounts for the cool and pleasant surrounding regions (Tamandan, Tamin, etc.). Khash is also famous for some ancient sites which date back to that of Nader Shah era.

The Faculty of Industry and Mining is a newest established campus of the University of Sistan and Baluchestan. The faculty expects a bright future given the enormous mineral and industrial potentials of the Khash region.
