• The secretariat of the 11th International Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition in Iran starts its activities on Wednesday, 1st November 2017. This year’s festival will be held from October 6 to 9, 2018, in Tehran International Permanent Fairground. Iranian and foreign companies, organizations, and institutes that are interested in participating in IranNano 2018 are required to carry out the initial registration on the Festival’s website . Nanotechnology International Festival is held annually by Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council, and it is the largest and most credible domestic exhibition in the field of nanotechnology, and is considered as the second nanotechnology festival in Asia.

• Following the organization of six successful events in the fields of Nanoscience and Nanostructures, the Institute for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (INST) of Sharif University of Technology is delighted to organize the 7th International Conference on Nanostructures (ICNS7), having the unstinting support of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC). This will be a 3-day gathering to be held on 27 February-1 March 2018 in Tehran, the capital city of Iran.  ICNS7 aims to provide an interdisciplinary, international forum for scientists, researchers, students, and industrialists of the rapidly growing fields of Nanoscience and Nanostructures to exchange ideas, discover novel opportunities and broaden their knowledge.

Each year, the institute is launching a number of training workshops promoting new developments in nanoscience and technologies for students and other enthusiasts. Moreover, the institute vision is to establish a stronger link between the university and other academic and industrial centers. Among the held workshops are the followings:

• Nanotechnology and its application in medical science
• Nanotechnology and its applications in the agricultural industry
• Theoretical and practical workshops on nanotechnology and technology
• Nanotechnology applications in modern industries
• Nanotechnology applications in Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industries
• Organizing periodical courses for students to be ready for national competitions in nanotechnologies.
