Nanotechnology Research Institute invites faculty members of Sistan and Baluchestan University and other universities or institutes to collaborate on its various nanoscience research activities.

Actually, this collaboration is divided into four research groups with the following titles:

1- Research Group in Nanostructures and Nanocatalists

Nanostructures are structures that range between 1 nm (molecular scale) and 100 nm in at least one dimension and consists of nanoparticles, nanotubes, nanorodes, nanowires, nanofibers and other nanoforms based on the various conductors, semiconduvtors and dielectric materials.

Nanocatalysis is a rapidly growing field which involves the use of nanomaterials as catalysts for a variety of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis applications. Heterogeneous catalysis represents one of the oldest commercial practices of nanoscience, nanoparticles of metals, semiconductors, oxides, and other compounds have been widely used for important chemical reactions.

2- Research group in nanoenergy and nanodevices

Nanodevices are critical enablers that will allow mankind to exploit the ultimate technological capabilities of electronic, magnetic, mechanical, and biological systems. Nanodevices will ultimately have an enormous impact on our ability, specialy, to enhance energy conversion and control the systems performance.

3- Research Group in Nanocomposites

Nanocomposite is a multiphase solid material where one of the phases has one, two or three dimensions of less than 100 nm, or structures having nano-scale repeat distances between the different phases that make up the material. The Interesting properties of nanocomposites facinated researchers and companies to consider using this material in several research fields.

4- Research Group in Nanobiotechnology

Nanobiotechnology is a discipline in which tools from nanotechnology are developed and applied to study biological phenomena. nanostructures can serve as probes, sensors or vehicles for biomolecule delivery in inbody or cellular systems.
